EM resident here. whenever I've consulted ortho, different residents seem to ask for different xrays. is there a source u guys can point me to that will tell me what specific xrays to get for specific injuries?

i.e. shoulder/upper arm injury --> ap, lateral, scapular Y, etc...

that way, when i call ortho, I have all the imaging studies available already. thanks in advance.

Everyone is a little different. There is no "single" source. I created a cheat sheet for my ER but again, it's very dependent on the attending
