question in regards to PROMETRICS

hey everyone-

just wondering. ....i was trying to sign up for a place to tk step 1. it asked me for an ID number with dashes. The only ID number I have is the one from NBME and my reference ID that I got in the email that stated that they receieved my form B part and were sending me a card or something. The ID number w/ dashes that theyre referring to on the PROMETRIC website, is that the one i will be getting on that card that they send? the reason i ask is that none of my other numbers seem to work.

Yup, the prometric site is looking for your confirmation number which you will get after you receive your registration papers (it's bright orange). Be patient, it can take a while. You may want to check with your office of student affairs if it's been a while, sometimes, they are the rate limiting step.

try calling the prometrics phone number. several classmates had problems signing up by the internet and did it over the phone. you should still be able to browse test locations on the internet without the pin number.

do you have their phoen number on you? I need to change my 3 month time interval..in case I have to postpone it...

the number i have is 800-med-exam. there should be more information on their website. www.prometric.com
