do their students do their rotations in accreditted teaching hospitals in the US? in other words do they have trouble getting residency in internal medicine?

Caribbean student 101

You are doing the right thing but after knowing what is claimed and told
if you go to a Caribbean school and get to clinicals, it is up to you to know if everything is OK with what you are doing, the school can say a lot of things including "Sorry" when they tell you it was ACGME and it was not.

Bottom line always look out for yourself with every school.

SGU, what some say is the best Caribbean school, roped in 100's with a UK version of the school, in the beginning people thought it was the same as SGU in the Caribbean, Uh no you do not get Cali approval ( they are working on it) so the program is not the same, 100's thought it was and so did SGU at the start but found out it was not yet until Cali reviews and approves. Lessons learned.:smuggrin:

These forums have a lot of info to gain. Seems like the best choice in Caribbean is get into the 50 states approved schools first then try the tier 2 and 3 schools as a second choice.
