Hi! I'm a sophomore in undergrad and would like to ask for some advice on switching labs. I recently joined a lab and they have helped me tremendously with gaining research experience by calling participants, running studies, and presenting posters. However, I plan on getting a Ph. D. in Counseling and I was wondering if you all would suggest that I switch to a Clinical lab that deals with anxiety (something I want to pursue in my Ph. D) or stay in the lab throughout my undergraduate career.

What about splitting your time between labs? I was in three different labs in undergrad and got very meaningful experience in all of them (at least in my opinion, but I think that was reflected in my LOR as well). I think being part of two labs is very manageable and given that you're only a sophomore right now you'll have plenty of time to get good experience in both research areas.
