I'm thankful to have received my 1st interview @ MUSC in early December. Does anyone have any idea on if this is more ideal or advantageous then having a later December/January (since it's Christmas/New Year's/etc.)? Having it be my only interview and especially AFTER December 1st just has me wondering haha. Any feedback would be appreciated! 🙂

No advantage after December, except you'll hear much faster than people who had to wait months and months for their decision on Dec. 1st, despite having an early Fall interview (eg. August, September) - which is an awful ADA rule and needs to be completely changed. Admissions is rolling after December, so an interview in December means you could hear in 30 days or less depending on circumstance.

I agree, the Dec. 1st rule is a dumb rule. They need to change that asap. What purpose does that rule even served? Not only are they wasting applicants money to fly across the country for these expensive interviews, they are also taking away interviews for other applicants. For example, if an applicant get an early interview at their #1 school and the school were allowed to get back to them within a week, that applicant can cancel all their other interviews and that will open up a spot for someone else.
