There is an entrepreneurial internship program at my school where students spend 20/hours per week for 15 weeks working on pretty kick butt projects (in my opinion) for a semester. I was fortunate enough to work on several projects throughout my undergrad career that heavily influenced me to pursue medicine (weird how that happened, especially considering it focused on entrepreneurship, but nonetheless it gave me super cool opportunities that I would never would have had otherwise). I won't say more because it would be easy to see who I am from my application.

My question: If we were awarded, say, 500 dollars for a semester, is this technically a Paid Employment - Non medical activity? If you break down the pay to the per hour scale it is pretty lame, almost $1.50 per hour haha. I am having trouble deciding what category it fits under for my upcoming application. Also, I have other internships but the difference is that this one was more of a here, have a once-a-semester stipend rather than regularly paid/hour work.

Since something like this is considered "self-identified information, it is up to you to decide which option best suits each particular experience."

I would say either what you said or "other (I think this is an option, right?)"

It sounds like you will be receiving a stipend rather than a salary. I would suggest not listing it as Employment, but rather choosing the "Other" category, as it is likely to be a multifactorial activity and not fit easily into a specific niche. Use the word "Internship" or a word with a similar vibe in the title you pick.

Sounds like a cool research/entrepreneurial incubator learning experience with a stipend, rather than a truly "paid" job.
