On keyholes practice set, question 13

Why the answer is not E?

The correct answer is D.

Thanks for your help!

Judging by the angle you look at the object, you will not be able to tell that the base is curved. For a trick, imagine crushing the object flat against a wall and that will be your answer.

If you pass a sphere through a keyhole, it needs a circular shape to pass through. To me this picture included looks like a sphere on the bottom...am I seeing the picture wrong? If that is a sphere on bottom, it should need a curved passage such as E. Would not surprise me if this was a typo in the answer key.

EDIT: Unless that sphere on bottom isn't centered. If it is offset towards the front and small enough, I guess pass through D...I am on a 7" screen and can't see the picture that well!
