I've been shadowing with several optometrists for several months. Now I start to wonder which optometrist I should ask for reference letter. They come from different settings such as retail, private practice, et al Anyone has any suggestions? Should I ask for one that is the most successful or the one I've been staying with the longest? Is several months too short a time for a reference?

it all depends on your relationship with each of these optometrists. as with any letter of recommendation, make sure it is from the one that can write the best for you and who knows the most about you to write a letter for you. its not about what kind of practice they own or their success because the letter is not about them, it is about you. so whichever optometrist you are most comfortable with should be the one to write the letter.
