Question on schools who screen primaries heavily

I have very average stats and that's why I've been really surprised by how many secondaries I've been getting from California schools, since they are so notorious for their screening. So my question is, does that mean that from here on out, they're going to focus more on my ECs/ rest of my app? Because that would be awesome
