If you were to have a student shadow you, are there any questions that you would consider to not be appropriate? I can't think of many off the top of my head at the moment, apart from the obvious of "how much do you make?" Any that you would be impressed by/consider to be excellent questions?

Also, do you think it would be unprofessional to ask a podiatrist that I work for to shadow? -- I don't work for him directly, but our company would technically be considered as a "vendor" for them

Thanks!

I'm all about being "natural" and sincerely believe that if you plan your questions, it seems exactly that.....planned. You really have to simply get a feel for the actual demeanor of the doctor you are shadowing.

I can mention questions to ask or not ask, but that is all dependent on the individual doctor and your relationship with that doctor. You will really have to use your own judgment on this issue and temper your questions to the situation.

During your shadowing and during interviews, etc., try not to look "too" prepared. Although it's certainly okay to have a list of questions, let nature take it's course and many of your questions will probably be answered during your time spent with the doctor.

Seems like sound advice, thanks for your reply!!!
