Hey everyone, so skeletal and cardiac muscle are supposed to not be able to regenerate right? So how is muscle able to repair itself after working out at the gym or after some sort of injury without new cells?

When it comes to strength training at the gym, muscle cells have the capacity to "bulk up" so to speak. They can add additional mitochondria and nuclei via hypertrophy. This is in distinction to hyperplasia, which is an increased number of cells. You can read up on myosatellite cells from the link above.

Oddly enough, bone is (arguably) one of the best regenerative tissues in the body.
