Question over Topscore Chem Problem

Hi,
So I was doing a problem on one of the Topscore test, it says that half life (t1/2) is independent of concentration for all first order reaction? I thought it was dependent? Or is it independent because its really just the inverse of the first order reaction? Thanks.

PS I was also wondering if Topscore chem is representative of the DAT?

First order reaction half life:

time = 0.693/k

you can clearly see that half life time is independent of reactant concentration.
