i just took my DATs yday and i posted my scores on an earlier post. I am really suspicious of the PAT score that i received (16!!) when i was consistently doing a 18-19 on CDP, and even got a 22 on the test i took before my DAT. even WHILE i was takin the DAT...i felt like the questions were pretty straightforward and I was answering them pretty well. My question is...do you guys think it would be worth 50 bucks to get this score audited by ADA? My TS was 19 and AA was 19...so if the audit can manage to get me up to an 18 or 19 then I dont think I will retake the DATs. What are the chances that there was actually an error by the computer grading system?! Please help guys...cuz if my chances are veryy slim...I dont want to waste 50 bucks if im gonna hafta waste another 205 bucks to retake the test and another 100 bucks for topscore/achiever cuz im prolly gonna purchase those! sorry for the looongg post...but i need your heplp!!

I honestly dont think there is a computing error with the DAT ... I personally wouldnt waste my money or time questioning the ADA about the DAT as I dont think they would admit an error with the scoring that could possibly open up a auditing frenzy. Has anyone out there actually auditted their DAT results?

I dont know man. Well if there was an error than you shouldn't be the only one in this situation. They don't grade the exams separately. It is a computer system and they have already selected the right answers. Your score should have been higher coz everyone would have done bad. Do u know wat i mean?

The only thing you can do is retake the test. Even if you successfully protest your score, the ADA will just let you retake the test for free. Under no circumstances will they regrade your exam or increase your score.

thats fine...i honestly have no problem retaking the test. at this point...the only thing at stake is my self confidence and 50 bucks...lol and its for me its just a matter of principle that i refuse to believe that i scored a 16 when i was doing consistently well on CDP and even thought i did pretty well comin out the PAT. thanks for all the help guys! i think im gonna jus go for it and audit...i have 50 bucks to lose...in the worst case scenario...but whats 50 bucks compared to the 200k im gonna be payin in a few years?! 😛
