question re: December fellowship application

I'm a peds resident, applying for neonatal-perinatal medicine (to begin in 7/2012). I had a quick question about the ERAS fellowship application. My application is done, but I am still waiting on letters of recommendation. Am I able to submit the actual application without the letters of recommendation or do I need to wait until all my letters are in the EFDO system?

I'm pretty sure you can hit the submit now. But, if in doubt, it's easy to check with any of the programs you're applying to.

Went throught the process last year. You can definitely apply and your letters wil be added as they come in. Good luck with the process, it is a long one! 🙂

Yes, they want your MSPE. You're only 2 years out from med school!

I am also applying for NICU fellowship and waiting for my LOR in EFDO system. I will be doing my NICU elective rotation in Feb to gain some research experience. My question is that do I apply it now OR shall I wait till I get some research experience ?

apply now. Then when you are interviewing you can talk about your research elective, etc. Whether to interview you won't depend on the research in all probability. At the very very few places it does, you can always send them an update in Feb.
