I'm hoping that someone could shed a little light on the process of how MMI interviews are factored into admission decisions.

I know that MMI interviewees are assigned scores based on their performance. However, once interviews are done, are the scores simply relayed from the interviewers to a separate committee, or do the interviewers also sit in and discuss everyones' answers individually before making final decisions? Thanks in advance for the answers!

At every MMI station, your interviewer scores your answer, many times using more than one metric.

All those scores are added up or averaged and sent to the committee.

Committees factor your internal "score" is pre-II (based off metrics, ECs, your story) and also factors in your interview score as well.

There's no single standard for MMI scoring or for how much your interview plays into your final admissions decision.

I can say, though, that I cannot imagine anyone going on for very long about one of your MMI questions. Kinda defeats the purpose of the multiple scorers/stations idea.

There is no way they would have the time to have all 7-9 interviewers shed light on what applicant xy or Z said, think about it. As soon as you walk out of the station with the interviewer, he/she scores you on some metrics either on a piece of paper or computer. Those scores then get added up and there ya go. The only bit more detail is they might also be able to include a brief note or two about you.
