Question regarding aways

Hi there,

I'm currently a Med-3 planning my fourth year aways. I have a question that might sound a bit weird, but please humor me for a sec:

Which hospitals have 24h coffee shops?

During my clinical rotations so far I have made the experience that the availability of late night coffee directly correlates with improved performance during long call shifts / night shifts, and I figured since I am doing aways anyway I might as well set myself up in a way to maximize my efficiency / rotation performance =)

PS: coffee availability is obviously not my only criterion for rotation selection, but I figured ceteris paribus it might sway my decision in either direction a little

Moving to Clinical Rotations - since there are about 6,000 hospitals in the US, I wouldn't wait for an exhaustive list of those that have 24 hr coffee shops.

You can always find coffee somewhere in the hospital, it might not be Starbucks but you can find something at the nurses station or in the OR/ED.

Pro tip: learn to drink it black, less time futzing around with cream and sugar while the attending/residents are waiting for you.
