Hi.

I'm currently struggling with Plants, Evolution, Ecology, and Classification. I have Kaplan, but it does a poor job of explaining, especially in regards to classifications.

The rest of biology from the MCATs is fairly attuned, so my question is, what's a good supplemental source to KBB for those above sections.

a) Schaum's A-Z Biology
b) Campell's Biology
c) Cliff's AP bio.

C for review.
B if you want to go crazy and read all of it.
A is long/small text. Some say it is more boring to read than Cliffs. So they prefer Cliffs.

Just read as much as possible and don't fret.

Focus more on ochem and chem as though subjects are pretty clear cut on what will be tested on. Bio is random. Just pray you get lucky for a good bio section. If you don't then its ok as your ochem/chem scores will make up for it.

excellent advice 👍

Thats one thing I regret in my DAT study. I spent about an equal amount of time studying biology / GC / & orgo. I shoulda spend 25% of my effort/time on biology and the rest 75% on the 2 chemistries.

Its easier to land a 25 in GC and 25 in Orgo than a 25 in biology.

The most popular way around SDN to study for biology is KBB + cliff's ap Biology and I believe it works very effectively
