Hello all,

I'm asking this on behalf of a couple of applicants that have e-mailed me regarding their unique situation. They are both U.S. citizens who have done all their undergrad coursework in Canada, and is wondering if there are any medical schools that would disqualify them from applying because of this (that because they didn't complete their pre-reqs in the U.S.)?

At my public school, we have no such rules regarding where they have completed their pre-reqs as long as they are U.S. citizens. So, do anyone know which schools they CANNOT apply to because of their situation? thanks!

I think a bachelor's degree from Canada is generally more accepted than bachelor's degrees from other countries. I looked up the policies of a few schools and they all accepted degrees from U.S. and Canada but were much less receptive to degrees from countries other than that.

I haven't seen any problems with people completing degrees in Canada, but if they completed degrees elsewhere, they might run into a few problems. Contacting a few schools directly would be their best option right now.
