I have heard (from my kaplan teacher) as well seen from the DAT rule thingi that you're now allowed to use pencil or the paper they provide you as tools to measure stuff. BUT i was just wondering, for the PAT angle ranking section, is this allowed to use my hand to make a 90 degree angle in order to do an angle comparison? or to use my hand to cover up some part of the angle? I do this all the time during practice but i certainly don't want to get into trouble during the middle of my exam. Thanks for the input

they will give you 2 a sharpies and 2 laminated papers with an eraser. I am pretty sure you are not allowed to touch the monitor, neither use your paper to check on angles.

damn, that sucks, not even using my hand to cover the answers i eliminated!?!?

I held my hands up to the monitor during my exam and it was not a problem. I did not touch the screen though.

I'm not aware of any rule change, but if there is one, I don't know why this would be illegal. However, unless your fingers are perfectly straight and you can make your thumb and index perfectly square, I don't really know how this is going to help you.

Of course, if you've practiced with that and you can get through them quickly enough, then by all means go ahead. I don't know that it is specifically prohibited.

Also, if I wanted to eliminate answers, I would just write "A B C D" on my sheet and cross off the ones I didn't want. I wish the software had a strikethrough or something.
