I know that Fungi are eukaryotic cells. Something I just got wrong on a quiz is that I assumed fungi had centrioles. However, they do not. How then, do fungi and plants divide their cells if not for using centrioles? Are centrioles a type or organelle generally seen only in animal cells?

My question is how do the chromosomes segregate during metaphase if they do NOT using centrioles?
