I know that Fungi are eukaryotic cells. Something I just got wrong on a quiz is that I assumed fungi had centrioles. However, they do not. How then, do fungi and plants divide their cells if not for using centrioles? Are centrioles a type or organelle generally seen only in animal cells?

The answer to your question -
It looks like lower fungus (microfungus) use centrioles while higher fungus use spindle pole bodies.
