Here's my story: I'm in my upper 20's. I've recently been admitted to UNMC Nursing School and I have a GPA of 3.5. I've been in college for a while and I have taken a few requirements already for Medical School. I've taken Gen Chem 1, Gen Chem 2 Lab, Calculus, Physics 1 & 2, Genetics, Biology 2, English, and Statistics. Which leaves me with Organic 1 & 2 and Biochem.
I finish the program in 1.5 years, but I plan on taking the rest of the requirements during the summer. Which I'll end up finishing once I'm done finishing my BSN. I figure I'll get a job as an RN once I'm finished and start prepping for the MCAT.
I've also done quite a bit of shadowing while I've been working and volunteered at a hospital for over 2 years.
Any advice?
I realize it's very harsh advice. I just want an opinion. I realize traditional students tend to think differently about a time frame of events, but rest assured I've heard it all.
