Question regarding the validity of my TOEFL score

I have got a small question regarding the validity of my TOEFL score. I gave my exam on September 01, 2003. Today, I found out that TOEFL scores would be valid only for 2 years. Could any one of you please tell me whether the universities will consider my scores or not if I send it before the September? 😕

Your scores will not be accepted and you have to retake it.I have a friend whose application was waitlisted because his TOEFL had expired and he had to retake it and submit the scores again.I would suggest that you take it as soon as possible as the pattern is changing from september.

well i had the same problem last year , when i called BU, they said as long as the scores reached them before the expiration date was over , its ok.
but as my application wasnt reaching them before the date my toefl expired ,i retook it ...
best if u call the universities and ask

hi gamecock1,
i have the same situation, i gave my toefl on 4 Sep 2003, but i think its valid for 2 yrs and if we report it before that 2 yrs period than it shud work. the schools shud have it before expiration. it will not automatically vanish after they have recived once 2 yrs are over.

Actually, some schools do require that the scores be valid at the time of the interview.
A friend of mine had the same situation. When she called up the school, they said it was fine and asked her to go ahead and apply. But at the time of interview, they asked her to take the toefl and her acceptance was put on hold till she sent her score report.
