Hi guys!
I was hoping some of you would be able to provide some additional info if you're familiar with Tufts' process.
Their website requests that the applicant's dentist LOR explicitly state the number of hours shadowed (~40 hours minimum from general).
I worked as a non-certified dental assistant for around 2.5 years (# of years worked indicated in the LOR), logging in almost ~3000 work hours (# of hours worked logged in my application, not LOR).
Is there generally a preference placed over hours shadowing versus hours working?
Prior to my paid position, I did volunteer/shadow another general dentist for 3 months, but I requested a LOR from the dentist I worked for since we developed a stronger relationship.
Will this be an issue during the screening process?
I'll be calling Tufts to on Monday, but if I could find out some info prior to that time while I'm finalizing some application details, that'd be awesome.
