Whats up everyone,

I'm not sure if I am posting in the correct thread and I apologize in advance for that. I've been working as an Emergency Medical Tech for about two years now really enjoying what I do helping patients. A few months ago I decided to start looking into the health care field for advancement and Nursing came up. I thought at the time I had my life planned out getting my nursing degree and eventually working towards my NP. I completed anatomy and physiology part one with an A no problem and then started anatomy and physiology part time. For some reason I noticed through the course that certain diseases and subjects would cause my body to go into a mini panic attack that forced me to leave the class and come back. I could not explain it and still can't to this day. The subjects that really trigger it is heart disease and the reproductive system. I have no idea why my body does this and it honestly annoys me because growing up I've never really been the one to have any form of anxiety so I am not sure if I developed it through my knowledge of EMT school and now a bit of nursing school. I also saw my uncle recently die of congestive heart failure, my grandma come down with Alzheimer's and A-fib, grandma have a mini stroke and most likely a future stroke and now my dad just recently had a mini stroke in his eye so I guess I have a bit of PTSD from seeing a bunch of my family members come down with a lot of illnesses that caused me to worry about my future and that I guess formed into health anxiety. What I am saying is I really wanted to go into some form of career into the medical field whether it be Nuclear Medicine Tech, Radiation Therapist or Nursing but I just can't seem to get through this "health anxiety" issue.

What I am trying to ask is has anyone else had this issue and still decided to go through the medical field or is this something that usually prevents people from going? My biggest concern is developing some form of heart disease or arrhythmia issue. Has anyone else dealt with some form of issue relating to mine and how did you over come it?
