As you know, the 10% cut in Medicare payments is looming. The Congress will have missed the July 1 deadline by next week. Even though the cut is unlikely to happen, what would you do if it DOES happen? Would you:

1. Decrease the number of Medicare cases in your practice?
2. Increase the number of Medicare cases?
3. Do nothing?

And why?

There's not much that we can do--we're not in the practice of turning away accounts. However, the big fear is that the insurance companies will use this as justification for cutting their reimbursement, as well. Since insurance accounts for a much larger percentage of our business than Medicare, this is what would have a more profound impact on our profits.
