Does undergraduate research help finding/getting residencies for pharmacy school? Does it also make an applicant more competitive? Thanks!

Depends on what type of research you did, your role, and for how long. In general, most residencies seem primarily interested in what you do as a pharmacy student. Patient-centered research as a pharmacy student is a plus when applying for residencies.

For an undergrad research, I was a neurology assistant at the School of Medicine working with NASA trying to determine efficacy of acyclovir under three different conditions: space, earth and fresh batch. Me and PRA has sent the data and has been able to change NASA's SOP to exchange the acyclovir tablets more effectively.

Will that be any help..? 😀 THANKS! 👍
