I am waitlisted at two schools right now. I asked a professor to write me a LOR for next years cycle in case i dont get in...He just finished it.

Should i send it to the schools that im waitlisted at? Will it even matter?

My plan was to send it to those schools...and than call in a couple days to check my status on the waiting list. This way i dont sound like im just calling to bug them ..but to call to confirm they recieved the letter and just checking the list at the same time. What do u guys think?

I don't know about sending an additional letter of recommendation. Have you sent a letter of intent/interest to any of the schools?

You can definitely send an additional LOR, but I wouldn't bother sending it unless you're SURE that it's really good and will be an asset to your application, not just some generic letter. Also, I agree with zipmedic - you should consider sending a letter of interest/intent to the schools to let them know you're still interested in going.

Have you done anything since you interviewed that might help out your application some? Have you sent an update letter since? I think an update letter/letter of interest would be more effective than another letter of recommendation, unless you're sure it's a really good letter.
