Question: When do schools see your last quarter's grades?

I submitted AMCAS early june...before my spring quarter's final exams...so med schools won't be seeing my spring quarter grades.

My question is...when will they see those grades? Will the med schools just make admissions decisions without those grades, or do they require those grades to make the final admissions decision? If they require those grades...when will they ask for them?
