From one of my practice question,

it was asking if the following statement is true for Mitosis

"Sister chromatids begin to migrate to opposite poles during Anaphase"

I said true, but the answer key says its for meiosis.

Is this correct? or am i wrong?

thanks

It probably means for anaphase II during meiosis. Just anaphase is for mitosis. Tricky question though

To my knowledge:

Homologous chromosomes separate during anaphase of mitosis and anaphase I of meiosis

Sister chromatids separate during during anaphase II of meiosis

Hope it helps!
