What is the formula for Reference Interval?
and Case Fatality Risk?

The risk from dying from a specific disease is described in the CFR

Case Fatality Rate = total death from disease "x" within a specified time after diagnosis / total# people acquiring disease "x"


The reference interval is used when a certain measurement on a patient is compared with the values for that measurement in a normal population. I don't believe there is a certain formula but I could be wrong.

Well I have a formula but I'm not really sure if it is right or not.
In fact they give you a mean and 1 SD and they ask you to calculate Ref interval Well I guess is mean +/- 2 X SEM
and SEM = SD/square root of population.

Please someone tells me if I'm wrong.
