it seems like many of you are way ahead of the game..amcas processed, secondaries, now interview. i just get started my amcas, mcat this saturday. i feel like i'm way behind especially mcat score won't be ready 2 months after. that means my application won't be completed until october, but a lot of you are already getting interviews. any of you are the same?

Don't use SDN as an accurate guage of the progress of the majority of applicants. What kind of people do you expect to hang around student forums all day? Get your AMCAS in by the end of the month and don't worry about the precious few people interviewing now. Thousands of applicants who take the August MCAT and submit AMCAS thereafter matriculate to the very best medical schools.

Just get started on your amcas immediately after your MCAT and get it submitted asap, before getting your mcat scores back. Some schools will send you secondaries right away (if they don't screen) and then you can get those sent in soon too, as well as your LORs. That way your file will be complete once your MCAT scores are in and they'll start to review your file. Other schools though, won't send you a secondary until after recieving your scores, so for those I would just suggest getting them back to the schools as soon as possible, theres not much more you can do!
Good luck!!! 🙂

I like to use SDN to guage my progress. Keeps me on my toes. I mean if I can almost keep up with most of the neurotic premeds around here, I should be money in this process.
