Does it take two or four years of undergraduate before one can apply to pharmacy school?

You can apply after you've finished all your pre-reqs which is about two years. However, the field is getting highly competitive and with a bachelors, pharm schools consider you a more competitive candidate. Don't get me wrong, you can still try to apply after you finished pre-reqs, but many people who do that are asked to finish getting their bachelors before applying. I'm a first year, and considered taking that route of applying after two years, but i'll most likely get my B.S. before I apply.

Good luck!

you are welcome to apply after two years. i have couple of students who got in, but let me tell you they are one of the brightest people i have ever seen! over 60 to 70 percent of my classmates have degree, and that number will continue to rise every year. if you have brain and will for it, adcom will definitely notice you. good luck. but most of people finish their pre-reqs in 3 years. get good grades, and actually have some fun in college. 😀

Thanks guys, I was getting mixed info from many people.

UF requires an AA degree, plus the prerequisites. I found it impossible to do that in 2 years, so I went ahead and finished my BS degree before I applied.
