Hello, I am about a year away from taking my DAT, but I thought it would be good to study the biology section and keep looking over it maybe an hour a day. Since I have a lot of time still, should I be reading my textbooks to review, or just use Kaplan and Schaums and just memorize those?

Also, for those who have taken the DAT, were questions that you think you missed due to simply forgetting that information, or did you not study enough of the details? Were the real DAT questions really specific or just general?

thanks, I hope some ppl will answer my questions. I've posted a couple of times and only one thread recieved replies 🙁

i think it's great if you are happy with starting preparing for the biology section now. the more comfortable you are with the material, the better it is for you when you finally do decide to sit down and prepare for the exam as a whole.

for me, i felt like a lot of the material that i encountered in the bio section was really detail oriented esp w/ regard to endocrinology, classification, etc which are detailed in nature. some of the material is really hard to retain over long periods.
