Hi guys.. I am doing homework for my ecology class and there is one question

which I really don't understand.. The question was

"Explain the impact of Topography (of a stream) on type of biological organisms in a body of water"

My hypothesis is that the hilly a stream is, the more oxygen the stream

gains,,

Anyway,, can you guys give me a helping hand please?

Ecology? What the crap? Things have really gotten out of hand now. A) This is the Allopathic (for current and incoming medical students) forum. B) This forum is part of the Student Doctor Network, for students interesting in or participating in the study of medicine. Ecology is not a pre-req for med school, nor is it a medical school class. You *may* be able to post this in the lounge, but definitely not in this forum.

I never took ecology, but wouldn't the topography influence the speed the water flowed at, and thus the spectrum of organisms capable of inhabiting it?

EDIT: What the crap? You're a 10th grader? Go do high-school things, and get off SDN for a few years.

Ask me about marantic endocarditis.

p.s. It is thrombotic!

I actually took ecology as one of the two bio classes I needed to get in (I'm still kinda amazed it worked), but sadly my knowledge is still rather limited in it.
