So I just re-took my MCAT in June and I got a 30O: 10v, 13bs, 07ps. My score last August was a 28Q (10v, 10bs, 08ps). I know I dropped in PS, but I was wondering if I should even bother applying to MD schools or just go DO? I have lots of volunteer experience, some shadowing, research experience, and a 3.85 gpa. Thanks for the input and good luck to everyone!!

My BCPM is 3.82. Thanks for the reply!

Apply MD anyways - your GPA is respectable, and if what you say is true, then the rest of the package is there. Apply to a range of schools and do your best. It's getting later in the season, so hurry up and good luck.

Respectable? i'd say thats pretty good. That MCAT wont get you into the "top tier schools" but i'd say you have a pretty good shot at getting in somewhere. You might even be considered above average at some schools.

I would say you have a good chance of landing at a pretty respectable MD school. But they key is to apply early on, if you can get your primaries in soon you will not have any problems. You are in the same boat I am, I had a 30Q with a 3.80 GPA and i applied to both schools. If I can get an interview, so can you!

30 Mcats and 3.8..... hmm.... What are you worrying about, some folks here (like my self) would sell thier left (or right) nut for your numbers

You might not get into harvard MD school but there are plenty of schools out there that will like your application
