Are you actually in dental school? Only asking because would think that if you were you would have many more resources. Sturdevant has been mentioned to you before, in Sturdevant's Atlas of Operative Dentistry you will find the answers to all your questions.

Really? Our profs gave us powerpoint slides and pdf documents with all of the above spelled out 20 times each (it seems).

Do you go to d-school?? Cause if you do, they must be doing a pretty crappy job.

I'm only responding b/c i would rather do this than study for gross anatomy exam 😎

Outline form: follow the pits and fissures. that's where the caries are.

Resistance form: dimensions. maintain a prep depth of at least 1.5 mm & marginal ridge integrity of 1.2 mm for pre-molars and 1.5 mm for molars.

Retention form: converging B/L walls & diverging M/L walls.

If you're a dental student, what school do you go to? If you're not, then you will be hard pressed to get into dental school if you can't do basic research.

Then why are you asking? I dont see anything I would add to jbs answer. As far as a picture is concerned, If you understand dental terminology and have any bit of clinical experience (be it shadowing or sitting in on a clinical presentation) you should be able to draw your diagram.
