Does anyone know, if one chooses to reapply again if he/she doesn't get into an optometry school for this upcoming september, if you would need to resend all the LOR's and all that other crap again, or do the schools keep your file, and all you have to resubmit is the application along with the areas of improvement?

all the schools will keep your application for 2 additional years. However, you will still need to fill out a new application (this time as an reapplicant of course). As for LORs and other stuff, most schools would want you to submit an additional LOR (some request one from prof, or from an OD), an additional essay describing what you did in the past year to improve your application ( no need to answer the other prompts ), and send in transcripts if new classes were taken since you last applied, OAT scores, and $$$. your entire file (both admission periods) will reviewed. apply early : )
