A few weeks ago I was observing a DBS surgery (Deep Brain Stimulation) and I was talking to one of the guys in the OR. He worked for the company that made/sold the machine the surgeon was using essentially. His job seemed pretty cool... He was in charge of any troubleshooting for the device and he also directed the surgeon throughout the whole procedure. I was wondering does anyone know what his job would be called or an example of a company like this? I am kinda curious to see what kind of training their job requires, as well as the avg salary they make.

He was probably a salesman or some kind of technical representative. He likely has anywhere from a B.S. to a Ph.D. in some form of basic science. Just google biotechnology companies, and I'm sure you'll find lots of stuff related to this inquiry.
