If i applied to a med school that my parent went to, does this higher my chances?

Unless your parents are great/famous doctors, Ben Carson level, I don't think it will make a big difference. It will probably come up on your interview though.

It can't hurt, but why should it help? They have their pick of the litter and simply because your parent went there doesn't necessarily make you more desirable.
