Got a dental question for ya'll

So after I got done brushing my teeth today, I noticed that their seemed to be a "hole" in my right upper wisdom tooth (which is about 3/4 "in"). This was on the front part of the tooth, next to the gumline. I'm fiddling around this hole with my tounge and little pieces of what I can only assume used to be part of my tooth are coming loose and making the hole bigger. Is this a cavity or what? I'm going to try and get into the dentist ASAP (early next week) but I'm kind of curious as to what's going. I've never had a cavity before so I don't have anything to compare this with. Also, it doesn't hurt... yet. I'm a little concerned about the appropriate course of action if it does start to hurt tomorrow (sunday) when there is zero chance of getting to a dentist.

Thanks.

Dude,

That's been going on for years up there. What are the chances it will bother you tonight? If it's your wisdom tooth, you probably need it out. Keep it clean till you can some help. $65 please.

Man I need to hurry up and start learning more so that I could charge people on here
