Hi i was wondering if any of you were already done with pharmacy school and working as a pharmacist. I would really appreciate if you could answers these questions for me. This is for a class project and the information that you give is confidential and will only be provided to my instructor. You have the option to not answer any of the questions if you don't want to. I would suggest going to local pharmacists. I myself would be weary of giving personal information on a internet forum, private message or not.

I've had people call me at work with this same interview. When I'm busy, it pisses me off beyond belief. When it's slow, it's fun to do. My suggestion, call some 24 hour pharmacies at like 12-2, or 4-5. It's slow then and they probably wouldn't mind talking

16k undergrad, probably about 20k when i was in my last year (thats tuition/housing/food per year) loans...

Back then it was pretty easy, I just applied to whichever majors i was intending to do

You really have to have the patience to sit down and study for hours at a time... It's not hard but it is hard work
-What do you like best about being a pharmacist?
Knowing how to self medicate when needed 😀

Red-tape, can't make any therapeutic decisions unless the MD, nurse, whoever is on the other line says its ok... lots of stupid documentation involved

Applied for Target, it is a good job

Throw the money out the window. Realize that it is a big commitment and know that this is what you want to do/interested in. You have to somewhat like pharmacy in order to be successful/survive in school or it will be a long 4 or 6 years... If you really don't like it, think really hard and just leave b/c its not worth it if its not for you. Oh yeah, and realize that the supposed 100k+ salary that you will be making coming out will only be 60k after taxes... Not trying to ruin anybody's parade but its true.
