Hello,
I read that some MSTP programs, if you don't get in, the institute will consider you for their MD-only program. Since I think I like basic research a little bit more than medicine, I thought I would like to go to graduate school if I don't get into a MSTP program. Here are my questions:
(1) Is it possible to apply to both MSTP program and graduate school of the same university in the same year? (i.e. Do universities allow this and is there enough time for one to realistically do so?)
(2) If you don't get into the MSTP program of an institution, are you disqualified to apply for their PhD programs in the future?
Thank you!
