questions about chances

I have a BS Biochem and minor in Psy from UCSD with a GPA around 3.1 and a science GPA around 3.0..........right now im finishing my MPH from Loma Linda University with a 3.6 GPA....i will take the MCATS in AUG (no time for april to study) what do you guys think ?....will the aug mcat decrease my chances, should i wait until april next year, I also have the option of doing some extra grad work in science (post-bac)should i do that?...thanks

apply early. you can start applying to D.O. school june first. take the mcat in august. as long as the schools get all of your secondary applications in early, they will hold your applications until the MCAT scores come in. once they do, the schools will be quick to respond. i honestly believe that you will still be early in the application process, and as long as your mcats are decent, you will have a good shot of getting an interview.
