Questions about GPA calculation...

So I have been on quarters since beginning college and the scores are scaled in such a manner that you can get a 3.7 or 3.8 or etc...
All of which are A's...And I understand alot of other schools use A=4.0, B=3.0...Does that mean that the vet program I apply to would recalculate my GPA based on their system or not?

If you're not sure, the best thing to do is to call and ask! I'm on quarters too, and I did quite a bit of calling around when filling out supplemental apps to figure out how to calculate stuff...

Thanks for showing me which direction to go...Just wondering if my GPA would be higher than what the University of Washington calculates...I have 3 classes that I received a 3.7 in and the other 20 plus classes all were 3.8 and above...But like you said I'm sure it depends largely on the school I'm applying to...which will be Auburn and a couple of other schools in the southeast...

Unrelated GPA calc question: Does any science class go into the science GPA?

For example, would it be at all beneficial for me to take an easy 300 level bio class (called "conservation biology") for a boost in my overall & science GPAs? I'm an animal science major and the class isn't required but I can't fit any other required courses into my schedule.

For pretty much every GPA question, the answer is "it depends on the school." I can't imagine an upper-level conservation biology course /not/ being counted, although I can't see one course making a huge difference in your GPA calculations, either. If it's easy, you have time and think it would be interesting, why not?
