Hey all.... I'm considering entering the military during medical school because just looking at these medical school tutions is making my stomach churn. I just have two quick questions.

1.) What is your total time commitment to the military after you graduated if you only enter the military starting your third year of medical school?

2.) Might seem like a wierd question but what's the racial make-up of the most of the military's doctors?

1) The minimum repayment is three years, and four if you are selected for military hospital internship (for HPSP, I am assuming you are referring.)
2) Most would be self-describing as from a single race, but not all the same race. ;-)

Doing it for the money will be the biggest mistake of your life. Read this forum thoroughly and then call up and talk to current active duty physicians.

You give up too much freedom for a few bucks in the beginning. NOT WORTH it.
