Hi Everyone,
I have recently been accepted to MSUCOM and I am very excited about attending but i have a few concerns. If anyone who is a current student or is also interested in attending the school can give me some advice or answer these questions I would truely appreciate it.
1. During first year, the allopathic and osteopathic students take the basic science classes together. Initially I thought this was a good thing because it means that they must have established a really strong program to be able to do so, but wouldnt it get too crowded??? I went to a small undergrad and I am more used to small classes. Does it become difficult to get your questions answered in class or contacting the professor afterwards?
2. Do we have to pay for tuition for the summer as an extra semester?
3. There is no medical library...but is there a main library where we can at least get books on reserve that we do not want to buy?
4. I am a non-michigan resident, how likely am i to get the non-resident scholarship? I hear almost every out of state student gets the $15,000 scholarship, is that true?
5. Is it true that 3rd and 4th year rotations are allll held in one hospital....what if i want to do a rotation in another state?
6. How difficult is it to get off campus housing?
OK thats about it....If anyone could give me some advice, I would truely appreciate it.
Thanks
