Hi all,
I am fairly certain that I want to apply to podiatry school next year. Coming from the NYC area and being very close with my family, I'd like to spend the next 4 years (or more) near them and so I ask the following:
Will I be denying myself of a chance at better residency placement, and a better overall education if I decide to apply to NYCPM and plan to attend if accepted? (rather than shopping around at more than just this one school)
What are the drawbacks of going to a podiatry school that is not as "selective" as some of the others out there?
Right now I'm at Cornell University, one of the most selective universities in the country, so I definitely do care about striving to attain my personal best and reputation. However, at the post-undergrad level, can someone explain the benefit of attending one of the more "competitive" podiatric schools as opposed to one that has a higher acceptance rate (NYCPM) in regards to potential job placement, education, and earnings.
Thanks so much everyone!!!
