Is it going to show up on my transcript? How much is it going to help me getting other scholarships or transfer?

What do I need to do once I joined? A lot volunteers and group work stuffs?? (Personally not very good at working with other people)

What if I can't attend meetings, is it still gonna show up on my transcript??

Your transcript shows your grades, not any extracurriculars or organizations you may be involved with.

then does it still helps with like transferring to a 4 yrs school or anything?

Not sure about phi theta kappa but I know phi beta kappa shows up on transcript and diploma

it shows up on diploma, but i havent seen it on my transcript at all

its an extracurricular and honor society, so it could help, but I doubt it's a deciding factor or anything major. Just a resume filler

I'm not really familiar with the organization, but if it is an honor society, i'm sure it will help positively since you have to maintain a certain GPA and that sort of thing. Your question may be better answered if you ask members of the organization itself b/c i'm not sure how many people on here could help you.

I got a FULL TUITION scholarship to a 4 year college just based on the fact that I was a member. No extra application, no extra essay, all I had to do was provide them with some proof of membership (I gave them a copy of my Phi Theta Kappa ID). To be honest I wasn't very active in the society (I attended a total of three meetings including the inauguration) but just the fact that I was a member helped pay the rest of my way through college, and greatly so.

On the PTK website you can find a list of 4 year colleges that offer scholarships just based on membership. If any of the universtities you are interested in fall in this list then I would strongly suggest you join the honor society.
