I am currently at a community college on a transfer program for Pre-dental. I have two W on my transcripts and cGPA of 3.0. I find the Chemistry classes to quite difficult but, find the other science easy (AP, BIO). Does attending a community college hinder my chances of getting into a Dental school? I am extremely dedicated in getting into D-school but, currently find myself wondering if my transcripts are to bad to even continue on my path to becoming a dentist.
Thanks,
G-

i'm in the same boat as you, but i have a boatload of W's from 2 CC's when i was just out of high school. everyone says that if you show a gradual improvement and keep your gpa high, there shouldnt be a problem.
i plan on finishing up my last few chem/bio classes at the CC i'm at then off to a UC to just finish up the last couple years of sciences i need whilst studying for the DAT. good luck though, and keep those grades high.

You'll be fine, just have to show a significant improvement. At my first interview, the interviewer lookd at my early grades and described them as "abysmal", but that I did very well later on. So if you check my predents stats, you'll see that my GPA looks subpar, but this is after I spent a few years bringing it up. Give you heads up, I was on Academic probation on 4 different instances and Got a few Ds and Fs, and a boatload of C-s, Cs
